A special thanks to SOLV, Oregon State Parks Dept., Lane County Waste Dept. and Friends of Buford Park & Mt. Pisgah Executive Director: Chris Orsinger! This year's SOLV "Down by the Riverside" cleanup on Saturday, May 16, 2009 was a great success!

The cleanup started in the vacant parking lot next to the old Bring recycling and proceeded along the gravel road and trails to the area around the picnic tables which are by the river. Volunteers completed litter patrols, and cleaned land belonging to the State and County, removed invasive species and planted six different types of wildflowers.

And, last but not least - we now have a porta-potty ! Thanks Oregon State Parks Department!
