Q: Where do I park to visit Glassbar Island?
A: Currently there is limited parking along the road by the closed off parking lot. Park 3 feet in from the white line along the side of the road. DO NOT block the yellow gate at the entrance to the closed parking lot. See Tour page for directions, gate image, parking image and link to map.
Q: Can I bring children?
A: Yes but be aware - it is the parents' responsibility to oversee the whereabouts and behavior of their children at all times while on the property.
- The 'front' crossing to Glassbar island is usually under water so you must wade across to the island. The water can be swift, over knee deep at times and the rocks in the water can be very slippery - please take this into account before attempting to cross over to the island with children. (see river information)
- Children must be accompanied by at least 1 adult if they leave the 'front' beach area to explore the park (see map for 'front' beach location).
- Under no circumstances are children to be left alone to wander around the property.
