GIV logoGlassbar Island Nude Beach Volunteers is now Glassbar Island Volunteers.

News Flash: A "Stopwork" has been ordered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department on the Glassbar property. See the work stopage letter and the related
Eugene Weekly article.

Donations - with a little help from viewers like you, we can further expand our volunteer effort on the property. We are currently seeking non-profit 501(c)(3) status.

We previously worked with Oregon Parks and Recreation Department on various invasive species removal and restoration projects with a long term vision of restoring the Glassbar property to its natural condition. Hopefully we will work again later this Fall with Oregon Parks and Recreation Department on the Glassbar property. So, its summertime, let's have some fun!

The property is a unique clothing optional place for all to enjoy.

Before visiting the property, take a look at the OPRD regulations and the Glassbar Island Volunteers suggested guidelines.

The property is located just south of Springfield, OR at the confluence of the Middle and Coast Forks of the Willamette
River. See the Tour Page for detailed information. See the Map page for driving directions and bus information.

What is the weather like at the park today and can I cross to the island?

Important parking information!

DO NOT BLOCK THE GATE. We can not stress this enough. We have been informed that the county will issue tickets to anyone blocking the gate. Don't be one of the unlucky ones. You are allowed to park in the old BRING Recycling parking lot near the railroad overpass. Also please remember if you park along the road to leave 3 feet between your vehicle and the white line along the side of the road. This is for your safety!

Camping is not allowed on either Glassbar Island (the property belongs to the OPRD of the State of Oregon) or the surrounding property (between Glassbar Island and the road, Franklin Blvd. East) which is owned by Lane County.

Please click here for more information about the Lane County Code on nudity. Keep in mind that the property is owned by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.

The rest of the web site beyond this page contains nudity.

Glassbar Island Volunteers is not liable for any loss or personal injuries which occur at the property. Use at your own risk. There are no life guards on the property so enter the water at your own risk.
