What's a guy to do on a hot afternoon at grandma's house - get naked in the back yard!

Now how do I turn on the water? OK grandma, put the camera away. Today I know those pictures are still somewhere in a relative's photo album.

As the years passed I never gave up that great feeling of being naked in the sun and splashing around in the water. Below is an image from 1983 of me (the small black and white image) and a great bunch of guys that loved to be naked outdoors.

We would all meet up on the river, camp out, play and float in the river and just have some fantastic weekends - OK, who has the sunscreen? The place on the river has been gone for a number of years but it still holds a very special place in my heart.

In 2005 I retired and moved from Seattle, Washington to Eugene, Oregon. Move the clock forward to 2007 when I discovered Glassbar Island just outside of Eugene. Ye Haaa! Its time to get naked in the sun again!

Glassbar Island is a unique clothing optional place for all to enjoy, regardless of their sexual orientation or marital status. The Glassbar Island Nude Beach Volunteers, now organized as the Glassbar Island Volunteers, in cooperation with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department have maintained, preserved, and protected the property for a number of years.

So now I'm a member of the Glassbar Island Volunteers, who said retirement is dull? Anyone for fly fishing naked at Glassbar Island?
